uan Kehua was born in 1976 in Shandong province. He was interested in the arts from a young age. After high school he entered the central academy of theatre to study choreography. When he graduated from university he participated in a number of important shows and was involved in producing several television series.
Recently he began creating his own art. His work uses the past as its inspiration, and uses delicate tones of silver and grey as a means of expressing his isolation and individuality.
Unlike young Chinese artists focusing on mainstream cartoon style and consumerism culture, Yuan Kehua expresses his heart and body’s language through his art. He is currently based in Beijing. |

克华1976年出生于山东，自幼喜爱绘画
高中毕业后考入中央戏剧学院学习舞台美术设计，大学毕业后曾参与过很多重要的戏剧演出及大型电视节目的舞台设计，近年来专注于绘画创作，袁克华的绘画作品侧重于表达自己内心的情感与体验，他擅长以自己独创的银灰色调表现出具有历史感、古典气质的梦幻场景与忧郁细腻的情绪，刻意营造出一种神话般脱离现实的独特韵味，在充斥着卡通与消费主义的年轻一代艺术家中卓尔不群，目前生活在北京。 |
